While reading an article, I was thrilled to learn that an indigenous company has developed in-house Generative capability using their own cloud Infrastructure.
When discussing cloud infrastructure, the usual names like AWS, Azure, and Google come up. Establishing indigenous in-house infrastructure is particularly exciting. I'm referring to OLA. Previously known primarily as an integrated cab provider platform, discovering their initiative in developing "Krutrim" using in-house cloud infrastructure is an excellent step for the Indian Technology Industry.

Understanding In-House Cloud Infrastructure:
In-house cloud infrastructure refers to the establishment of dedicated cloud computing resources within an organization's premises, offering enhanced control, customization, and security compared to traditional cloud service providers. This approach empowers businesses to tailor their infrastructure to specific requirements, optimize performance, and maintain data sovereignty.
Exploring the Potential of Generative AI:
Generative AI represents a paradigm shift in AI technology, enabling machines to generate creative and original content autonomously. From text generation to image synthesis, Generative AI holds immense promise across diverse industries, revolutionizing content creation, product design, and personalized user experiences.
Unlocking India's AI Potential:
In December last year, Ola’s chief Aggarwal unveiled Krutrim (which means artificial in Sanskrit), heralding India's foray into the development of in-house AI solutions. This groundbreaking platform boasts remarkable capabilities, surpassing even the renowned GPT-4 in various Indic languages. With training on 2 trillion tokens and proficiency in over 20 Indian languages, Krutrim exemplifies the prowess of indigenous AI innovation. (Source: Analytics India Magazine)
Partnering for Progress:
Indian companies are steadfast in their commitment to developing proprietary AI models, signaling a shift towards self-reliance in technological advancements. Intel, a stalwart in the tech industry, has embraced this vision by collaborating with Indian enterprises to deliver AI hardware solutions tailored to local requirements. Intel's CEO, Patrick Gelsinger, expressed astonishment at India's determination to nurture homegrown AI capabilities, highlighting the nation's eagerness to leverage cutting-edge technology for indigenous development.
